Shark Park staff on Freediving course with SA Freediving Champion Hanli Prinsloo!

The team at Shark Park have had some phenomenal diving with up to 8 tigers, 30 blacktips and the odd bull shark. The freediving legend, Fred Buyle, has so inspired the team that one of his students, Hanli Prinsloo, has taken up the reigns and been teaching the staff the finer art of freediving. Shark Park will be offering freediving courses with Hanli in the future. The opportunity to link freediving and big animals has proven irresistable and the response has been fantastic.

Shark Park also recently hosted underwater photographic genius, Thom Peschak and Rupert Ormond from the Save Our Seas Foundation. Save Our Seas have sponsored the tiger shark research in the Aliwal Shoal Marine Protected Area for the last two years and it was very rewarding to get Rupert out with us to see what their support has made possible.

Going forward there are a number of amazing things about to happen at Shark Park so watch this space for deails.
