Visibility improves at Shark Park but the water is still cold:

The visibility has finally taken a turn for the better at Shark Park with 15m-30m being the reported visibility over the last three days. The water temperature is still too low for great tiger shark activity. The winds have still been brutal but every now and then there is a let up and the team ha been able to enjoy the increasing numbers of dusky sharks and the ever present blacktips.

Hanli Prinsloo, the world class freediver and freediving instructor is with us at Shark Park to run another of her amazing "Freedive with Shark's" courses. Hanli has just set a number of National records (beating the men's records in most cases) and is not far off the world mark in a number of her disciplines (in fact she is just 1m off world record distance in the dynamic swim with fins - the world mark is 151m and Hanli's current best is 150m!).

In the quiet time dedicated staff member and scientist Steve Benjamin has been doing some sterling work on our data. The images and data above show Steve's abundant talent!
